Most people today have lost connection with the wisdom in their bodies. This leads to getting sick and not reading the signals the body communicates with you through feelings and sensations. The very signs the body communicates with you that tell you, for example, you need to stop and pay attention. The body always communicates with us through feelings and sensations. This is why when we get a bit of pain in the throat when we work too hard, if we don't ease back, we get sick. When we want to heal trauma, as an example, which is very important for self-care, we need to let the body be our boss,, to let it guide us to the pace that our specific body needs for healing and guiding us on how it needs to heal. If we learn the wisdom of the body - our Somatic Intelligence - we can improve our health, and performance, and really live out of self-care. Since many have lost touch with this embodied wisdom, we can relearn it.
